The next book you need to buy is this one, 'Made Whole' by Cristina Curp. Waited forever for this to come out - pre-ordered, then bought another one on Prime Day because it was a steal! I'll gift it or lend it to friends. With all the 'diets' and new eating lifestyles out there today, it gets very confusing. And when you have digestion and inflammation problems (I have Crohn's Disease, Peripheral Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia, Reynaud's, Acid-reflux, Lactose Intolerance, Gluten Intolerance...probably more that were never diagnosed..) I have done Paleo and, up until now, have been on a perpetual Whole30. I was still overweight, spent countless hours in the john, couldn't travel, was physically and emotionally miserable - eating the same food all the time - so boring. But now that has all changed. I found Cristina's website 'The Castaway Kitchen'! I follow her on Instagram, Facebook - she is a delight! She tells a story about how she healed herself from the inside out. Her recipes are to die for! I have made many of them! She made cooking (and eating) fun again! This woman has saved me! Her book encompasses recipes for Paleo, Keto (and a combination of the two with AIP), and Whole30. Her recipes are easy to follow, and delicious! I follow her on social media - she is my Yoda! She is REAL, so personable, beautiful inside and out, and funny as hell! Great storyteller! So do yourself a favor - buy this book and follow her on Social Media - you won't be sorry!!!

I don't normally write cookbook reviews as every Whole30, Paleo, AIP or Keto cookbook I have, and I have many, I can only use a couple of the recipes as my diet falls somewhere in the middle of all of them. This cookbook makes me feel like it was written for me. Christina has made an amazing cookbook with so many delicious recipes and also gets it like no one else! If you have not purchased this book, do it! It will not disappoint!!

My husband is a big cross-fitter/paleo health nut, so I purchased Made Whole because it seemed like something he'd be in to. This is the very first cook book I have purchased in my 34 years. Before now, if it had more than two ingredients and couldn't be made in the microwave, I did not eat it! I mean, I'm one of those people who can't even boil spaghetti. It's bad, folks.After having kids and transitioning to the stay-at-home-mom role, I decided it was time to learn to cook for my family. And anyway, I think my husband was getting tired of those one-step prepackaged meals.I was super nervous to try my first recipe so I chose the simplest chicken dish I could find in the book (but trust me, they're all pretty simple). I had literally only baked chicken once in my life and it turned out completely raw in the center, so I was pretty scared I was going to give my family salmonella....What came out was a perfectly cooked, crispy chicken and delicious veggies. My very first meal was a huge hit and every one since has been just as good!What I love about this cookbook:1. It's pretty fool-proof. I'm horrible at cooking AND following directions, but somehow, every recipe I try from this book turns out perfectly.2. The recipes are easy to follow. Cook books have always been super intimidating to me.. "Grease this while that marinates overnight, zest this while that soaks, chop these and whisk those"! All those instructions overlapping and words I have to google gives me major anxiety, but these recipes are EASY! And Easy without being boring or bland. I love the way the ingredient lists are laid out and instructions are clear, precise and easy to follow.3. You don't need fancy equipment. When I read the names for some of the recipes in this book, I instantly thought I was going to have to go out and purchase cheese cloths, dehydrators, chef's knives, etc. In reality, I haven't had to purchase one new kitchen utensil.4. The food is DELICIOUS. Really. I was skeptical about keto-paleo but the recipes are really really good..and I'm a carb fanatic.Bottom line, there's a reason this cook book is rated so high. Try it, you can't lose!

I have followed Cristina for a lil bit now. I was beyond excited when I heard she was finally putting together a cookbook of her AMAZING recipes. If her recipes on Insta weren't amazing this is a whole new fresh set of recipes for me to have a FIELD day with. I started reading front to back and was blown away with ALL these amazing sounding condiments, dressings and sauces I wasn't sure if I would make it through this chapter. So I'll say it again I've been following Cristina for a bit now and sometimes you look at a recipe and you're like use what with what say WHAT? Cristina what are you thinking? Listen just DO it. The finished product has always been amazing even when I was scared to mix various things. The amazing depth of flavor Cristina has somehow jam packed into her dishes blows me away every time! I may need to clear my weekend because now all I want to do is make gyros, rib eyes, carne molida, cortado panna cotta, flourless brownies, choc chip cookies, cheeseburger pie, all the meatballs, curried chicken and pickled onions. What's even more amazing is the years of wisdom she's put into every recipe so it not only tastes amazing but they're good for you. With each recipe you eat as you need to, keto, AIP, dairy and or egg free, whatever it is and still eat good tasty food that won't make you feel not so great later on. It's awesome! I thought eating keto, and or Paleo was boring, then I found Cristina, and a few others.
