Came brand new and packaged, although it was labeled as used. Flash cards and online code was included. Good price and saved a lot versus the school bookstore price.
I signed up for a medical terminology class. I ordered my book a few weeks earlier but I also had ordered a few other medical terminology books off of eBay super cheap that were used in other classes at my school.This book- SO MUCH MORE THOUROUGH! There is more to read but it explains it in a way that is understandable. If I am studying something I want to really know everything I can learn about it. In this book when I take anatomy it will be so much easier.The book also has an online learning tool. It will be helpful I promise.
This book was assigned by my professor, so I had to buy it, but after working in it for a while, I can say that it’s very clearly written and the chapters have a work-as-you-go format. It has exercises to do immediately following the sections for reading. It has multiple choice, matching, fill in the blank, and a few “essay†type questions where you write in a sentence or two. This book could easily be used by someone taking a class or someone who just wants to self teach or brush up on their terminology. The new versions come with a complete set of perforated flash cards to help you learn the prefixes, suffixes, and root words with combining vowels. Very helpful!
I had to have this for my college course and it was new on Amazon for sixty-three dollars so I bought it. Book came new wrapped in plastic with the flashcards (also wrapped in plastic). I had hoped this would come with the access code as some people had stated theirs did. Mine did not. My college sells the book for seventy-five dollars, so I saved a bit of money, but I still had to go get the access code. I definitely wouldn't buy it for more than seventy-five.
I am just disappointed that it didnt come with ALL flashcards of ALL terms. Why wouldn't it? It only gave 1/3 of all terms
Rent this book before semester started. Very easy to use with color coded pages and imbeded exercises to help memorize prefixes, suffixes and word roots. The textbook I rented is paperback and fairly used with no code to access the helping program on internet. However the editor let you use a partial access with quizzes, games and flash cards that are very helpful because this class is all about memorization!
Recommend purchasing the book instead of renting as its more of a workbook with fill in the blank sheets AND when you purchase the book it comes with already printed flashcards. Of course you can copy the worksheet pages but there's quite a few of them. Very helpful book for my college student !!
Update on the product after liking how it was set up at first. I disappointingly do not have an access code so I will have to pay 50 additional dollars to access this. I'm frustrated and upset with this development
